PERSONALLY ...

I have been married for over 40 years to the love of my life. We are blessed with seven children, five of whom are now married. There are numerous challenges and rewards to raising a family and that was my primary focus for many years along with caring for our home and years of volunteer work. Our adult children, their spouses and our grandchildren, continue to enrich our lives and we are so grateful for all of them. Time spent with family and close friends is highly prized. We continue to look forward to all that life has to offer.

PROFESSIONALLY...

After many years of being at home and raising our family, I knew that I wanted to extend my compassion through a meaningful career in a helping profession. With the support and encouragement of family and friends, I went back to school. In 1997, I graduated Magna cum Laude from Nazareth College of Rochester with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Social Work (BSW). By May of 1999, I completed the Accelerated Master of Social Work program (MSW) at Roberts Wesleyan College in N. Chili, NY. Becoming licensed through NYS as a Licensed Master of Social Work (LMSW), I was then blessed with a position as a high school social worker in the Wayland-Cohocton CSD where I remained for 10 years. While there, I additionally gained my certification as a School Social Worker. I cherish many wonderful memories from working with students and staff at W-C.

In early 2010, I shifted my professional focus to more clinical work and was hired through Livingston County Community and Mental Health Services as the Forensic Mental Health Therapist at Livingston County Jail in Geneseo, NY. After providing mental health services to inmates at the jail for nearly four years, a job I loved, I obtained my New York State credentials as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). I was thrilled when in the spring of 2014, I opened a private practice as a mental health therapist through Wellspring Counseling of the Finger Lakes. It remains a privilege for me to serve others in this way.
